Flood Prevention Pumping System for a Factory

Drainage pumps for preventing flooding of factory
A factory that made floor mats was sometimes inundated with water that spilled from a nearby canal when the intake gates to the river had to be closed during typhoons and heavy rains. To defend against the incoming water, a regulating pit was built next to the canal and installed with GSZ submersible pumps that would release water into the river. Moreover, power was supplied by a generator plant, knowing that outages could occur in a storm. To the delight of the customer, the system reached its designed maximum capacity of 4,200 m3/h (70 m3/min) in the test-run.
