In Egypt, a national project related to the extension of potable water coverage area has been under progress. It was a project called "The National Project for 240 Villages" aiming at increasing potable water supply coverage from 95 % to 100 % by implementing the potable water coverage for 240 villages deprived from potable water.
The total project cost is 2 billion Egyptian Pounds (approximately 360 million US Dollars), partially financed by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and the rest by Investment Bank.
